Confirm the standard, sites, processes and audit criteria before any fieldwork begins.
2. Document and evidence review
Check documented information against the applicable clauses and the organization’s own procedures.
3. On-site or remote fieldwork
Interview process owners, sample records and observe operations against audit criteria.
4. Findings and reporting
Report nonconformities, observations and opportunities for improvement in a format usable by leadership.

No. Certification audits are carried out by an independent, accredited certification body. Apex’s audits prepare an organization for that process or satisfy internal/supplier audit requirements.
Can one visit cover several standards?
Yes, where the organization operates an integrated management system, audit time can be planned to cover shared and standard-specific requirements in one cycle.
What happens after the audit?
You receive a findings report and agree corrective actions; Apex can support root-cause analysis and verify that actions were effective.
